Gary Graff is an award-winning music journalist who's been based in the Detroit area since 1982. He writes about music for the Oakland Press, Macomb Daily and Journal Register Company and contributes regularly to Billboard, UPI, the New York Times Features Syndicate, Revolver, Red Flag Media, Grokmusic.com and other publications and web sites. He is the founding editor of the MusicHound Essential Album Guide series, editor of "The Ties That Bind: Bruce Springsteen A to E to Z" and co-author of "Travelin' Man: On the Road and Behind the Scenes with Bob Seger" and the forthcoming "Long May You Run: The Ultimate Illustrated History of Neil Young." Gary is also a co-founder of the Detroit Music Awards Foundation and one of the producers of the annual Detroit Music Awards.
